The union has recently undergone radical changes with much needed reform. Thanks to the diligence of our leaders and the formation of Union Reconciliation Commission, the SCJU has been restored. Now, this new, reformed union needs an equally reformed presenter to the world. This presenter is the Union Media & News Commission.

Goals
The UMNC can be said to be “the voice of the Union”, due to the fact that it represents the Union to the world. The goals of the New Burgundian leadership will be:
- To restore the significance of the UMNC as the main method of presenting the Union to the world.
- To establish a main news source for the world on matters of the SCJU and its respective nations, and highlight events in the SCJU and its respective nations.
- To create a Union News Agency providing stories for publication in SCJU news sources and publications in member countries.
- To establish a summary of happenings in the union for publication.
- To publish formative pamphlets and publications on the Union, its # To produce publications concerning governmental and departmental events and accomplishments for the benefit of government members and officials.
- To establish a SCJU magazine, featuring news and reports on entertainment, fashion, and culture, among others.
The main platform of the New Burgundian Leadership will be Heritage and Progress. The leadership plans to revive many previous publications (see REVIVAL OF FORMER PUBLICATIONS, below), while incorporating new ideas into publications.
Management
A board of five members, chosen by the departmental head on merit, will exist to help and advise the head running the UMNC on a consultative basis. Meetings of this board council will occur on a regular basis. These members will also head certain publications. This council will exist on a solely de facto basis. Most of the proposed publications will have a assigned staff, under the assigned publication head of the publication, the editor. . However a few of these publications will exist on a free-lance basis.
Revival of Former Publications
It is planned to start the ambitious revival of multiple former publications, such as the SCJU Newsreel, Union Magazine, and Month in Review. Once instituted, these shall function as any other publication
Union Press Agency
The goal of the Union Press Agency (UPA) is to provide unbiased news coverage concerning the Union to the media of member states, in the mold of similar agencies (Reuters, Associated Press, AFP). The UPA will be a subsidiary of the UMNC (Union Media & News Commission) and subsequently follow its regional bureaus system.
The UPA’s responsibility is to also be the main provider of news articles for most UMNC publications. As a matter of fact, there will often be times when “UPA” will be synonymous with “UMNC news stories”. These news stories will usually refer to political events, while cultural and more in-depth articles will be delegated to individual publications. UPA news articles will also be letted to the media of member nations for issuing in their publications.
In addition, UPA, like it’s parent organization, will have an auditory and visual (radio and television) wing. These, once again like the UMNC, will be phased in starting with the radio sector. Once fully instituted, the UPA will also provide the bulk of stories and media for SCJU non-print media. Reporters will also be chartered by the media of member nations.
