Union Defense Initiative

Introduction

The Union Defense Initiative (UDI) (replacing the earlier Ministry of Defense) is the Union agency responsible for implementation of cross government defence policy within the union and co-ordinates the armed forces of member-states.

The principal objective of the UDI is to defend the Union and its principles. In this new multi-polar world, the UDI serves as a safeguard of union interest and the national interests of member-states. It is tasked with security and public safety for all nations within the SCJU and the territories under SCJU control.

The UDI has identified the use and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the rise of internation terrorism and the increas of anarchy as the main threats to the union.

The UDI serves only as a liaison between member states like all SCJU agencies.

Our nations, communities and homes shall be safe places for interaction and living.

Mission

The mission of the UDI is to ensure the defense of the union and its interests and that of its member-states. The UDI will work to stregthen peace and stability while protecting the priciples of the union and its member-states.

It will also ensure the security and socio-economic vitality of these states and their communities via policing, emergency services, corrections, communications, inter-nation co-ordination, information distribution and other protective and regulatory policies, programs, treaties and projects.

Structure & Organisation

The Ministry of Defence and its key personnel are organised into two core teams, the MoD and the Joint Committee. Due to the fragile political situations which today's defence needs inherit, the Joint Committee was established to forsee every point of view of a conflict and ensure liquidity. The JC consists of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of International Relations, Ministry of Public Safety, the President, and Vice President.

Defence

Defending our freedoms and way of life are of paramount importance. The Ministry of Defence is on hand to serve the peoples of the union and protect them against threats. The MoD is responsible for listening out for intelligence, intelligence gathering, and military operations, all of which are key to securing peace and freedom.

Facts

• The Ministry of Defence also acts as an intelligence agency through the Joint Intelligence Committee, a board of member nation intelligence sharing.

• Since its establishment the Ministry of Defence has successfully avoided any military conflict on behalf of the Union, and continues to put diplomatic resolution as the primary objective.
