Background

The Kingdom of Glump is located on the planet Myon. Nearly all of its land is mountainous or hilly, and is located on a chain of islands extending to the southeast of the East Granur Peninsula. Because of this, farming isn't very common, and much of the country's food production comes from the Gulf of Granur.

Countryside

Much of the country is rural or uninhabited, and deciduous and evergreen forests cover most of the land.

Northern Lowlands

The northern lowlands are a region of land on the tip of the east Granur Peninsula that was acquired after the end of the Myon-Granar War. This land is suitable for farming, and consists of extensive evergreen forests and rolling hills. Much of this land is only lightly inhabited, and the inhabitants are mainly scattered Granurian Zuke tribes.

Central Islands

The central islands join the lowlands with the main island of Glump, and most are small and unsuitable for building anything on, while some are bigger and are able to contain small villages. The islands are also covered in evergreens, and are also inhabited by scattered Granurian Zuke tribes.

Main Island

The main island makes up the original territory owned by the Kingdom before the expansionist period began, and is largely mountainous in the south, and hilly in the north. The south is covered by evergreen forests and the north with deciduous forests, and many small villages can be found scattered throughout the valleys. Several small farms can be located in the larger valleys, but for the most part there are too many hills to make farming effective enough to work.

Urban Areas

The capital city of Hutev is the largest city in the country, occupying the far northern tip of the main island. Ghetet, a smaller city on the south en of the main island, is the only other urban area and together the 2 make up around 80% of the countries population.

Transportation

Due to the mountains, a rail or highway system is not feasible, and currently only a road network links the towns and cities. In the urban areas there is a subway network, as well as a bus system. There are also ferries that connect to the mainland at Meruton and Calnuke, and another that connects to the islands of Las Islas de los Zucos. There are plans on building an underground rail line linking the cities of Ghetet and Hutev, but currently this has not been confirmed.

Government

Paorlament

The Paorlament is the legislative body of the Kingdom of Glump, and it is in charge of making new laws. There are currently 100 members in Paorlament.

The King

The King of Glump has near total control over the country, and can enact and repeal laws after consulting with the Paorlament. There is a limited constitution that the king must obey, and the basic rules contained in it are:

1: Paorlament and the Suporeme Cort cannot be dissolved

2: The King or Queen must get 40% of Paorlament to be in favor in order to enact and repeal laws

3: The King or Queen must get 50% of Paorlament to be in favor in order to enact or repeal a tax

4: No law may violate the 5 basic freedoms (Press, Religion, Speech, Assembly, and Petition)

5: The King or Queen may not declare war without a 65% majority in Paorlament

6: The King or Queen may not imprision anyone without a fair trial
