Geneva, Grand Duchy of Genevra: The Genevran government is poised to present diplomats from the nations of Tyrol and Savoy with a Trade Agreement that would benefit all three of the western/central European countries economically. Historically, Genevra has relied on the Port of Nice in Savoy for access to the sea; however, with this agreement, the government hopes to bring Tyrol into the fold. While the agreement would serve to benefit Savoy the most, as they control the Port of Nice, Genevra and Tyrol would ultimately benefit economically by circumventing the major, and more distant, ports of call such as Amsterdam. Infrastructure already in place that links Tyrol to Genevra and Genevra to Savoy would allow for the cheapest and quickest movement of goods to the port, minimizing transportation costs. Two terminals at the Port of Nice would be exclusively dedicated to goods moving from Genevra and Tyrol and placed under the control of the respective governments. Genevra already has in place a fleet of various cargo ships that have serviced the Commonwealth of Guinée, and these ships would be centralized at Nice should an agreement be reached; it is suspected that Tyrol would seek third party transportation. In exchange for this service, Savoy would be absolved from most maintenance costs for these two terminals and would collect rent on the plots, either in the form of tariffs or currency. The Genevra Ministry of Foreign Affairs is drawing up an initial document to be presented to the their counterparts in Savoy and Tyrol which will likely be heavily revised.
