The complex includes four major buildings:

The Embassy Tower

The 42 floor Embassy tower holds all of the union embassies, with plenty of room for expansion. As well as several conference rooms and office spaces. The official SCJU website office, a three story expansive presidential office, a two story vice-presidential office and a huge open-air presidential courtyard.

Currently there are 25 embassies located in embassy tower, repesenting billions. The following nations have embassies in embassy tower:

The Senate

The Senate building, a grande multi-level space that can accomidate all ministers and representitives in the union to meet under one roof. visitors are able to view proceedings via a plinth level inside the senate building (near the glass blue roof). Furnishings and decor inside the building are constructed of beech, pine, and oak and features further eco-friendly facilities and capabilities, including the ability to use the ground as a heat source, recycling of rain water for toilets and windows.

The Constitution Building

The Constitution building houses the permanent union council headquarters at the request of the minister of education, Cafe le Gallois, gift shop and a subway station. Several offices spaces for ambassadors are also located here, currently accomidating:

The Excelsior Hotel

The Excelsior hotel houses approximately 45 elegant suites intended for ministerial short stays and weekends, as well as 2 very large executive penthouse suites reserved for the president and vice president of the union. The building also benefits from having an underground car park.

The Union headquarters building was designed by Llynos Dŵrau upon approval of the New Rhodesian government. Previously the area had been an industrial estate until the mid-1950's when the area value declined with the pull-out of major industries. It is a declared international zone belonging to all Member States, and as such will survive in perpetuity, forever belonging to the Member States as an asset of the SCJU.

The site of the Union headquarters has extraterritoriality status like embassies do. This affects some law enforcement where SCJU rules override the laws of New Rhodesia City, but does not give immunity to crimes that take place there. In addition, a few members of the SCJU staff have diplomatic immunity and so cannot be prosecuted by local courts unless the diplomatic immunity is waived by the union president.

The complex has a street address of 3 Tangnefedd Avenue, New Rhodesia City, New Rhodesia, Wales, NR15 8BD. Security concerns subject all mails addressed thereto to sterilization, so items that may be degraded should be sent by courier.

Regeneration

On the 9th July 2006 the New Rhodesian Government announced that the SCJU HQ complex would be given a major overhaul over the course of the next six months. As part of it's commitments to keep the HQ modern and updated. This marked the first major overhaul since the HQ was built 2 and a half years previously. The Complex was completely finished and reopened to the public on October 1st 2006, the day before the first Simlympics in New Rhodesia City, New Rhodesia. the regeneration to improvements to the Embassy Tower, Senate, Excelsior Hotel, Ground expansion, The Monument of Universal Suffrage and a retrofitting of key plumbing and electrical systems throughout the complex.

Proposed alternatives

Isla De Suenos and Royal Amicitia, were also proposed as sites for the Union headquarters before new Rhodesia was finally decided upon.

For the first few years, the SCJU was headquartered in Calderwood, and was the seat of the senate during that period. Unfortunately the city went into crisis and the HQ building was closed down.

New Rhodesia after pitching some conceptual designs for the new HQ was voted and approved by almost every member to host the prestigious complex. Desiging and funding went ahead, resulting in construction in late 2005 and the eventual opening on April 15th 2006.

Destruction

On the 7th July 2008, an explosion ripped through several floors of embassy tower at approximately 9:00AM GMT with media reporting the incident shortly after. An airborn assault was ruled out almost instantaneously, leading to a tentative conclusion that an explosion within occurred. After unsuccessfully attempting to out the fires, the entire tower collaped four hours after the explosion. Consul Lady Christina of Dominea was critically injured in the explosion and was taken to hospital. She had been heroically pulled out of the wreckage by the Calderwood ambassador who saw her trapped.
