Military Begins to Reinforce Guinée

"We're placing more boots on the ground, so to speak." Those were the words of Marshal-General Aldo Baptiste as he spoke before the Parliament earlier this week, describing an all-encompassing military build-up on the islands of Guinée ordered by the Grand Duke. By law, the Duke has 30-days to launch or deploy the armed forces before needing the approval of
Parliament. The speech by the General has been seen as a means to court the members of Parliament and gain approval for the action long before

Genevra to Propose Trade Agreement with Savoy, Tyrol

The Genevran government is poised to present diplomats from the nations of Tyrol and Savoy with a Trade Agreement that would benefit all three of the western/central European countries economically. Historically, Genevra has relied on the Port of Nice in Savoy for access to the sea; however, with this agreement, the government hopes to bring Tyrol into the fold. (Read More)
