Cytherian Royal Family
From SCJU Wiki

The Cytherian Royal Family is the group of close relatives of the monarch of the Democratic Kingdom of Royal Cytheria. Members of the royal family belong to, or are married into, the House of Helhm, a branch of the Royal House of Oldenburg.
In the Kingdom there is a strict legal and formal definition of who is a member of the Royal Family and this is characterised by royal titles. His or Her Majesty (HM), His or Her Grace (HG) or His or Her Royal Highness (HRH) are always considered members, which usually results in the application of the term to the monarch, the monarchs consort, the widowed consorts of previous monarchs, the children of the monarch, the grandchildren of the monarch, and the spouses and the widowed spouses of a monarch's child and grandchildren.
The full and formal title of the King is "His Majesty, King of the Democratic Kingdom of Royal Cytheria, Head of the Royal Authorities, Leader of the State, Protector of the Realm".
The consort (Currently Queen) to the head of state's title is " Her Grace, Queen of the Democratic Kingdom of Royal Cytheria, Consort to the Head of the Royal Authorities, Leader of the State and Protector of the Realm".
While it is not common place for the official formal title to be used, on state occasions it is Royal Protocol and not to announce in the style as appropriate is an immense faux pas as discovered by South Korean UN Ambassador, Park In-Kook. While on a state visit to the South Korea, the ambassador formally announced the King as 'His Royal Highness' to the South Korean President, Lee Myung-bak. This caused a wave of shock throughout the Royal Court and the national newspaper published less then kind articles on the Ambassador and his error. An apology was received, however while the King took it all in jest, Queen Constance was rumoured not to be impressed, rather she left 30 minutes before the King as a sign of her displeasure.

Royal Protocol
Royal Protocol is of immense importance to the Kingdoms Royal Family, National and Regional Governments. Royal Protocol dates back hundreds of years, being born out of the original Royal Court which advised the Monarch under the absolute rule of Cytheria. Royal Cytheria has been said to have some of the most conservative and highly complex protocols of any Kingdom in the world and has received praise from some and criticism from others.
Royal Protocols:
- A Foreign Head of State, Minister or Ambassador who does not have royal lineage must wear a black or white veil upon the initial meeting as direct eye contact is not permitted on the first audience. Subsequent audiences do not require the veil.
- Permission must be sought from the Monarch in order for a foreign diplomatic office to be located anywhere in the Kingdom.
- Bowing (Men) and Curtsy (Women) are signs of respect to not only the member of the Royal Family but the Monarchy as a whole and is highly encouraged.
- Questions on politics, whether it be national or international, is not to be discussed in public forums.
- The Monarch must always be the one to initiate a conversation.
- The Monarch is addressed as His/Her Majesty at all times. The Monarchs Consort is addressed as His/Her Grace at all times.
- Foreign Royals marrying into the Royal Helhm House must relinquish their former title should they become married to either the Monarch, Become the Monarch, the Grand Prince/Princess of Semtania or Become the Grand Prince/Princess of Semtania. (The only exception is when the title and land itself is becoming the territory of the Kingdom)
- The Monarch and his/her consort are required to wear a veil or sunglasses (whichever is deemed appropriate) on public occasions for reasons stated in the Government Of Royal Cytheria facts section.
