The Imperial Atlantean Empire maintains a highly advanced and globally expansive military on Earth. The Imperial Colony of Perseus serves as the primary strategic command base for the Imperial Navy, Air Force and His Imperial Majesty's Army.
Strategically placed in bases across the globe, the Atlantean Armed Forces can act with ruthless efficiency. The Imperial Atlantean Empire has signed military co-operation treaties with the United Kingdom, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, the United States of America, the Kingdom of Cantabrica, Saudi Arabia, India, Japan, Canada, Buesti and Ravoi and France We are also a signatory member of the SCJU's Allied Response Force or S.A.R.F for short.
The Imperial Empire respects the will of Earth nations and does not use technology that exceeds that either developed or in the late stages of development. We do however strive to maintain one of the most modern and technological superior forces in active duty. The Atlantean Armed Forces is a professional service and draws recruits from the Imperial Empire and Perseus. The Ministry for Defence has purposely stationed a large force in Perseus in readiness for any major military engagement to avoid the transport of large number of armed forces personnel from Atlantis.
The role of the Imperial Armed Forces on Earth is to protect the Imperial Atlantean Colony of Perseus and all Atlantean interests from threat of attack. Should a nation become hostile toward Atlantean interests then force will be used to remove that threat. Atlantean forces are also present to assist in the protection of other nations that feel under threat or those which are attacked by a hostile foreign military. We seek to further the interests of the SCJU and provide military support to its member states that request such assistance, whether from Atlantis directly or via S.A.R.F. We shall also assist allied nations in their military endeavours should the Imperial Government agree with the cause of such affirmative actions.
While the Imperial Government prides itself on maintaining a large and technically superior force on Earth, one more than capable of defending all Atlantean interests, the single greatest deterrent against ANY nation attacking Perseus or Atlantean interests is the certainty that such actions will result in the full force of the Atlantean military machine being brought to bear on the said nation. A situation that would result in nothing less than their utter destruction.

Important Projects
ATLNET: The Imperial Atlantean Ministry for Defence has invested in the development of a new global and secure communications network for Atlantean Armed Forces on Earth. The system is nearing completion and once the satellites have been put in place will provide a seamless and integrated communications and positioning network between all branches of the Atlantean Armed Forces. It will greatly enhance the overall capability of the Atlantean Earth Division forces. - COMPLETED
Prince Julius Hospital Ship:Funding was made available in early 2009 for the design and construction of a new modern hospital ship to serve in the Imperial Navy. It will be one of the most modern of its kind and implement the most advanced medical technology availble. It is due for launch in June 2010. COMPLETED
Atlantean Military Expansion Programme: In March 2009 the Imperial Government announced an 8-year programme for the expansion of the Atlantean Earth Division with particular emphasis on equipment procurement. New naval ships, including two new carriers in addition to new assault ground vehicles, artillery. weapons and aircraft. The total expected expenditure is estimated at close to $300 billion over 8 years. In June 2009 the contract with Sologics was terminated and were jointly re-awarded to a Welsh and Cantabrican firm. Frizzante Systems, and Atlantean contractor, will continue to oversee the deign, development and construction. The Dominion of Wales and Cantabrica will each construct one of the new Aircraft Carriers while the Dominion will focus on naval destroyers and Cantabrica on submarines. Frizzante will continue to develop the ground based systems. COMPLETED
VIGILANT: Vigilant is the Persusian Missile Defence network aimed at detecting and countering any missile threat, whether launched from land or sea. It actively monitors and scans for threats via a network of surveillance and tracking stations located in various nations around the world, these nations share a military alliance or co-operation treaty with the Atlantean Empire, however the exact locations will never be disclosed. It is also directly linked into the new tracking satellite network providing an additional level of sophistication and accuracy. - COMPLETED
Joint Strike Fighter: Following the signing of the New Haven Accord, the Atlantean and Caladian armed forces have commenced research and development of a new fighter aircraft. The aim is to have the most advanced jet fighter that will replace those currently existing in the Atlantean Airforce and Caladian Airforce. 30% COMPLETED
Joint Destroyer Project: Following the signing of the Ylmeria Accord between the Atlantean Empire and the Shalman Commonwealth it was agreed the two nations would work in partnership to developa new modern naval destroyer to be utilised by the Atlantean Navy and the Atridean Navy. 15% COMPLETED
Pheonoian Protectorate Base: Work has commenced on the construction of the new home of the newly formed East Pacific Fleet of the Imperial Navy in Pheonoia. The entire project is estimated to represent close to U25 billion in new investment in Pheonoia. The new base will consist of 12 drydocks, homes and community services for 16,000 people with a secure economic future for neighbouring towns and Pheonoian communities with an Atlantean commitment to locally sourced materials and goods. The base will complement the new West Pacific Base, located on Athenia Island, Venray. 50% COMPLETED
Venray Protectorate Base: Following the agreement signed in April 2010, work has commenced on the construction of the new home of the West Pacific Fleet of the Imperial Navy in the Commonwealth of Venray. Currently stationed in Australia, this new much larger base will be home to the West Pacific Naval Fleet as well as providing facilities for a new Pacific division of the Imperial Air Force. The new facility will be located on Athenia Island, 65km to the north of the main island and in addition to the base facilities for service personnel and their families we will build a new health centre, leisure facilities and school for the island population. The base will be powered using renewable energy and special attention will be paid to maintaining environmental diversity and protecting existing ecosystems. The total investment will represent U32 billion in new investment with the new base being completed by December 2010. 25% COMPLETED
HEDES: Hedes is a project headed by the Quartz Corporation and initiated by the Atlantean Ministry of Defence and tasked with the design, development and testing of a new unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV). The design and prototype were unveiled on July 11th 2010 with testing to commence in the coming months. Testing will last for at least 13 moths before it is entered into service. - East African Cost: Assisting in the combating of piracy in international waters in partnership with International Piracy Taskforce
- Atlantica-Alba: Joint Naval exercises with the Caladian Navy
- New Kingdom of Sierrastare: Joint Naval exercises and training with the Sierrastare Naval Forces. The long term objective of a modern, expedient and highly professional naval defence and attack force.
- NATO: The Imperial Naval Fleet has been invited to partake in training and wargames with several NATO nations including the United States, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdom. These take place in various locations across the globe, in particular the Atlantic region and always in international waters.
- Pacific Ocean: The Imperial Naval are currently enagaged in war games and joint exercises with the navies of Australia, Japan and South Korea.
- Haiti: Several ships from the Atlantean fleet are currently engaged in humanitarian relief efforts to assist the victims of the Haiti 2010 Earthquake
